Who is Louis Emerick?
Louis Emerick is a 64-year-old actor who was born in Toxteth, Liverpool.
He was adopted as a six-month-old child and was raised unaware of his parentage until he was thirteen years old.
Louis is also the name of his adopted father, with his adopted mother being called Leah.
When he was older, he eventually reunited with his birth mother.
Where would I have seen him before?
Louis played Brookside resident Mick Johnson from 1989 to 2001.
During his time on the show, he was involved in a series of hard-hitting storylines including euthanasia and having a stalker.
His character worked as a takeaway man and was one of the most loved characters on the show.
He also had a long-standing role as PC Walsh in BBC sitcom, Last of the Summer Wine, from 1988 to 2010.
Other show appearances include playing Norman the Doorman on Benidorm, three different characters in Doctors, the full series of Zapped.
He also had a thirteen episode story arc in Casualty and appeared in gangster flick, Layer Cake.

On Corrie, Louis played Mike Thornberry – a former school teacher of veteran resident Steve McDonald.
Steve gives himself a shock when he sees Mike in the pub, and he quickly passed him off to his mum Liz to serve so he can avoid him.
After working as a cabbie, Mike soon struck up a flirtatious bond with Liz, and it doesn’t take too long for a romance to start blooming.
He left the street after realising Liz was more interested in being with Johnny Connor than him and he takes a trip back to France.
