EastEnders spoilers: Hunter Owen manipulates his mum Mel to keep her away from Jack Branning
HUNTER Owen is seriously struggling with the thought of mum Mel moving on - and becomes determined to stop anything happening between her and Jack Branning in EastEnders.
Good luck with that Hunter. Do you not know how many times Scott Maslen won Sexiest Male for his role as the rugged Branning brother?
Hunter – played by newcomer Charlie Winter – has his work even more cut out for him when Jack hires himself a sporty new car and decided to whisk Mel off on a date...to Paris.
Although very tempted – well, she’s only human – Mel agrees to let Jack take her for a spin.
Jack is chuffed, thinking he’s well in but his seduction plan goes to pot when first of all he patronises Mel – big mistake – and then the car won’t start.
Could Hunter be behind this? It certainly looks that way when he tells Mel, Tamzin Outhwaite, he knows all about Jack’s plan to whisk her away to Paris.
After Hunter makes some savage digs about Jack for her benefit, Mel decides it’s time to have a word with her offspring.

She tries to reassure him that she’s not looking for a relationship, which is a bit rich considering how Hunter is dabbling in a romance of his very own with Louise Mitchell.
Despite Mel’s reassurances, Jack isn’t giving up that easily and continues to try and woo her, much to Hunter’s annoyance.
The teen decides to put a stop to Jack’s advances once and for all and tries to manipulate the situation.
Unfortunately for Hunter, his plan ends up backfiring spectacularly and he pushes Jack and Mel closer together.
