Ryan Thomas fuels Lucy Mecklenburgh marriage rumours after splashing out on diamond ring

EX-Corrie star Ryan Thomas may pop the question to girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh after splashing out thousands on a huge diamond ring.

A source said: “He has spent a lot of time, trouble and cash.

“When a man buys a diamond ring for his girlfriend, it usually means one thing — marriage.
“It is clear they are in love and have a lot of fun when they are together.”

Ryan, 33, and Towie star Lucy, 26, met a year ago on the Bear Grylls’ survival show The Island.

Last month the couple went on holiday with his daughter Scarlett, nine, for the first time.

Ryan dated fellow Corrie star Tina O’Brien for six years from 2003.

The former couple had daughter Scarlett but split when she was a year old.

Ryan – who quit Corrie in 2016 after sixteen years on the cobbles – has since joined the hit Australian show Neighbours.

In the soap, which airs on Channel 5, the actor plays the troubled character of Raphael Humphreys who is set to ruffle some feathers.

Before heading down under, Ryan said “I grew up watching Neighbours so to get the chance to join the cast is amazing".
