GOOD news for The Walking Dead fans - work has already started on season nine.
The show's bosses confirmed they have started rolling on new episodes, despite still airing season 8: part 2.
Not only that - but the show runners have given tantalising clues that they are switching things up in the zombie department.
During a session, director and producer Greg Nicotero revealed cameras are rolling.
He said: "We're still finishing last season and then we just started season 9.
"So you guys [the actors] are gonna be busy, all I can say."
The Walking Dead comic creator and writer Robert Kirkman also told that some "really cool stuff".
But he admits he is braced for complaints from over-protective fans.
He said: "We just did the pitch out for season nine and there's some really cool stuff coming.
"In the pitch, Greg was like, 'Oh, I can't wait to get started on that!' I was like, 'I can't wait to see that.'
"They're always coming up with cool new evolutions for the zombies and there's some big stuff coming up in season 9 that I'm hinting at and I'll probably get in trouble for, zombie-wise."
The latest series of The Walking Dead has been one of the most explosive in the show's history.
The premiere picked up right where the season 7 finale ended, with Alexandria, The Kingdom and The Hilltop Colony declaring war on Negan.

In a total twist on the premiere from Season 7, where Negan destroyed all hope within our favourite characters, season 8 began with something more hopeful.
The combined attack on the Saviours did not go to plan with both Negan and his comrades surviving after Daryl, Rosita and Michonne miscalculated.
The hit show stars Love Actually actor Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan of Supernatural, Chuck and The Vampire Diaries.
