Scarlett Moffatt says she was miserable when she was slim after her fitness DVD was exposed as a sham
The ex-Gogglebox star told a body confidence seminar in London that being thin was hell
SCARLETT Moffatt yesterday admitted she was “miserable” when she was skinny — after her fitness DVD was exposed as a sham.
The TV star, 27, shed 3st after winning I’m A Celebrity — supposedly with the help of just a few exercises.
But the Sun on Sunday revealed she also secretly endured a gruelling boot camp and went on a crash diet.
Meanwhile, the ex-Gogglebox star spoke at a body confidence seminar — and told how being thin was hell.
Scarlett said: “When I first came out of the jungle I went through a stage where I felt like I had to try and look a certain way.
“I wanted to try and get out of the stereotypical Geordie girl.
"I stopped wearing fake tan and wore WAG dresses.
"But I was really miserable. I like being orange and having eyelashes that go up to my forehead.”
Members of the press were banned from the audience during her hour-long talk at the Glamour Beauty Festival in London, where she was interviewed by sister Ava, 11.
Her SuperSlim Me Plan DVD has sold 60,000 copies since its release on Boxing Day 2016.
Scarlett, who went from 11st 4lb to 8st, told unsuspecting fans who paid £9.99 for a copy: “If I can do it, a professional couch potato, then you can too. With the help of . . . this cunning plan.”
Scarlett is now facing demands to repay £100,000 after producers claimed she later piled pounds back on.
