Has the Grand Tour been cancelled and is a fourth series of Jeremy Clarkson’s popular show coming to Amazon?

AFTER departing BBC's Top Gear, the world waited to see what the dynamic trio of Clarkson, Hammond and May would do next.

With the last series of their exclusive three-year deal with Amazon set to air in January, Jeremy Clarkson has appeared to respond to rumours that the Grand Tour won't be getting a fourth...

Has The Grand Tour been cancelled?

There has been no confirmation that the show has been cancelled.

Jeremy Clarkson confirmed that The Grand Tour will continue for at least another two seasons, despite fears the show my face the axe.

The former Top Gear frontman revealed more seasons of the Amazon Prime show are in store at the premiere screening of season three.

Clarkson also teased the possibility of continuing the series for sixth season, claiming "you've got us for a few more years yet."

The announcement comes after the host told the Sun the trio had decided to quit studio car shows to focus on one-off large overseas specials over the next two years.

But it's now believed a full fourth season will be made up of a string of road trip specials, without the classic studio format.

Clarkson said: "We were signed up to Amazon to do three seasons and everybody said 'They're going to do four', but we were only asked to do three.

"We are still working hard on (season) three and when that's over we will turn our attention to what four, five and however many more there are going forward will be like.

"We are delighted to say Amazon have asked us to do more. When we finished three we talked to Amazon and they said, 'Oh no we'd be delighted'.

"We love Amazon and they seem to love us so consequently you've got us for a few more years yet."

The rumours, originally published in the  - and followed up by other publications including The Sun - quoted a source as saying: “There is nothing to suggest they are going to do another [series of The Grand Tour].

“No one has signed anything and employees are wondering where everyone will go once filming wraps.’”

However, responding to fan outrage on , Jeremy Clarkson appeared to quash these rumours to fans' delight.

As of yet, there has been no confirmation either that a fourth series is set to go ahead.

The Grand Tour is one of Amazon’s biggest shows and has made £100million for the TV service over three years.

Grand Tour producer Andy Wilman who also worked on Top Gear said: “We are focusing on series three at the moment.”

Season two of The Grand Tour is available NOW to watch on Amazon Prime.

The third series is set to air on Prime Video on January 18.

The 12-episode season will see the trio take on driving challenges in Detroit, Mongolia, Sweden, China, France and Georgia.
