LORRAINE Kelly burst into tears on today's show after receiving a Mother's Day message from her daughter.

The telly favourite teared up as she got the video from Rosie, who is currently working in Singapore but appeared to be enjoying a holiday in Laos.

Rosie, 23, said: "Happy Mother's Day mum, sending you lots of love from Laos.

"I hope Angus gives you lots of cuddles, mwah."

Lorraine cried: "That’s so nice! How did you get her to do that?"

"Oh, I’ve gone completely. It was just seeing her wee face, that was so nice. I miss her!"

The show's stylist Mark Heyes had to reach across and hold her hand as she cried.

Just before the video message from Rosie, Mark had surprised Lorraine with pyjamas printed with pictures of her beloved dog Angus.

Opening a box, Lorraine laughed: "No, no, it’s too good! That is so cute.

"That is my son, obviously. Did he order it by himself? That’s not in any way bonkers, I love that so much.”

Lorraine was so emotional she was unable to read her next link, leaving Mark to do it on her behalf.

Taking a deep breath, Lorraine finally composed herself and was able to continue with the show.

Earlier in the week, the star had taken a day off as she was too sick to present her programme.

Kate Garraway had to step in for her at short notice, before she was able to return the next day.

Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain she said: "I'm a lot better, I was dying yesterday, it was hideous as you know I always come into my work."
