Cheryl swoons over Tom Hardy to wind up non-committal Liam Payne

CHERYL knows how to wind up LIAM PAYNE.
In an attempt to leave her non-committal boyfriend red-faced, the singer made public her fangirling of Hollywood superstar TOM HARDY backstage at the Prince’s Trust Awards on Tuesday.
Breaking her own protocol of never approaching fellow celebs at events, Chez made a beeline for the Legend actor and had a chat and picture, right, with her favourite Hollywood pin-up.
A source at the event said: “It’s incredibly rare for Cheryl to make a fuss of any A-listers so Tom should feel chuffed.
“She’s always been a huge fan and didn’t waste the opportunity to have a word.
“Also, deep down, she knew posting the pictures on her Instagram would leave Liam lost for words.”
Other big names at the London Palladium included Broadchurch actress OLIVIA COLMAN, ex-Arsenal striker THIERRY HENRY, singer OLLY MURS and ANT & DEC.
But only Tom and Cheryl’s music producer pal NAUGHTY BOY made it on to her selection of pictures from the evening — prompting former GIRLS ALOUD bandmate and another Tom Hardy enthusiast NICOLA ROBERTS to question his position in the order of snaps.
She commented underneath: “You put Tom 6th . . . 6th?!”
I revealed on Thursday that ONE DIRECTION singer Liam is privately questioning whether their relationship will last the distance.
Cheryl doesn’t fancy getting married after two failed attempts, which has sparked Liam’s decision to favour his pop star lifestyle over being a staunch family man.
And cracks continue to appear, the latest being played out on social media.
When SAM SMITH posted a picture of himself eating a cheeseburger on Instagram, below, Cheryl commented: “The best burger there is!”
Liam then joked: “I think I would probably give you away for one of those right now . . . s***!! Did I just type that out loud?”
In a real tumbleweed moment, she ignored the gag.
Awkward.

Games get a jaz-zy theme
TEAM GB long jump sensation JAZMIN SAWYERS has been sweating over a different type of track – recording vocals for this year’s Commonwealth Games anthem, a reworking of the hymn Jerusalem.
Jazmin, who won silver at the 2014 games in Glasgow, supplied her vocals alongside Britain’s Got Talent champ TOKIO MYERS at London’s Abbey Road Studios last month. The tune is out next Friday.
When Tokio performs it at next month’s games in Queensland, Australia, it will be his second gig for royalty, after his Royal Variety Show spot in front of WILLS and KATE last November.
In an exclusive chat, he said: “As it will be my second show for royalty, that should get me knighted, right? Or at least an invite to MEGHAN and HARRY’s wedding?”
It is not Jazmin’s first foray into music – she competed on ITV’s The Voice last year.
It was never going to be her final hurdle.

Holly's a treat
IF anyone knows how to get your day off to a fabulous start it’s HOLLY WILLOUGHBY.
And she could make it even better, by recruiting JOANNA LUMLEY as a This Morning co-host.
She said: “Having seen Joanna host the Bafta Awards, if she wants to get into daytime TV presenting she can share my sofa any time.”
I bet Joanna would be up for it, especially if the wall of doughnuts stays, which Holly dived straight into on Thursday.
Holly, who posed in red to celebrate the launch of Diet Coke’s latest campaign Because I Can and new flavours Exotic Mango and Feisty Cherry, also has another icon in her sights.
She said: “We had DAME HELEN MIRREN on This Morning recently and I’d love to hang out with her.”

Camila's heart to be in Swansea
HALF of her heart might be in Havana but CAMILA CABELLO will soon be heading to Swansea.
She will perform at BBC’s The Biggest Weekend in May alongside NIALL HORAN, ED SHEERAN and TAYLOR SWIFT.
Camila said: “My friends have played it before and I see that it takes over the internet, so I’ve watched from afar.
“I’m excited to be doing it and also excited to go to Wales, as I’ve never been there. I think I’m going to learn my whole song in Welsh.”
That would be impressive.

- ALBUM 2: SNOW PATROL have unveiled the track listing and artwork for album Wildness – their first in seven years, which will be released on May 25. Lead singer GARY LIGHTBODY confessed he had “four years of writer’s block on this one”.
