Bill Roache’s belief in the afterlife and reincarnation will ‘help comfort him after daughter’s death’, claim pals
Coronation Street actor is heartbroken after the sudden death of his daughter, Vanya, 50, last week
BILL Roache’s belief in the after-life and reincarnation will help “comfort him” following his daughter Vanya’s death, pals told The Sun Online.
The Coronation Street star was left heartbroken after his 50-year-old daughter Vanya passed away last week.
Bill, 85, is part of a spiritual group called the Pure Love Movement and has previously spoken about how he feels connected to spirits who have passed to the other side.
Pals say it is this that will help him cope with his tragic loss.
A source said: “It’s been a horrendous time for Bill and his family and nothing can ease the pain at the moment.
“But in time we hope Bill’s beliefs will bring him some comfort.”
Bill has spoken passionately about his belief in spirits and angels and, in April 2016, he told The Sun he believed people lived on following death.
He explained: “I feel spirits around me all the time because I am in tune with them. There are beings, beautiful angelic energies, around all of us.
“Call them angels if you like, but they are these very loving energies.
“Dying is a change of environment to a far more beautiful place. The spiritual world is far more beautiful than earth —this is just the workshop.
“People very much get on with things there because it’s just as real as here. A lot of people die and don’t realise they have died because it’s so physical.
“They just hover around and don’t know. But then gradually that falls away and it dawns on them and they realise how beautiful it is.
“There are lots of loved ones there, a lot of loved ones from other lives.”
Bill also approached the subject of reincarnation and said his beliefs, which came from being part of The Pure Love Movement, made him sure people lived on when they had passed.
He said: “Of course life has to go on. We are all immortal.
“This body is just one vehicle. There have been many before.”
Bill was given compassionate leave by ITV bosses following the sad loss of Vanya.
A source told The Sun: “Bill is utterly heartbroken. No father should have to go through the loss of a child, let alone two.
“ITV are giving him all the time he needs but he’s understandably very upset.
“After hearing the news on Friday he’s been told to take as long as required. There’s no word just yet on when he’ll return.”
Vanya, known as Varn to her friends, leaves behind fiance Toby, who she lived with in Chichester, West Sussex.
