Linking up with Good Morning Britain, Susanna Reid said: "Yesterday was a very unusual day as Lorraine took the day off, which was historically unheard of Lorraine.

"How are you feeling this morning?"

From her studio, Lorraine replied: "Do you know, I'm a lot better."

But her voice quickly caught Susanna's attention, who said: "Ooh your voice is low though."

Laughing, Lorraine said: "I'm a lot better, I was dying yesterday, it was hideous as you know I always come into my work."

Piers couldn't get enough of Lorraine's new voice, lowering his own and putting on a Scottish accent to say: "Love the new husky Lorraine, the baritone Lorraine."
