Oscars 2018 winners list in full as Gary Oldman wins Best Actor gong for The Darkest Hour

THE 90th Oscars is over and the winners are clutching their gongs and celebrating into the small hours of morning.

A strong year saw Guillermo del Toro’s fantasy romance The Shape of Water take the spoils - winning big in Best Picture and Best Director categories.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri was a winner in the acting categories.

Sam Rockwell won for Best Supporting Actor and Frances McDormand celebrated her victory as Best Actress with a powerful speech, as she asked all female Oscar nominees to stand in solidarity with her.

The British also won big during the evening – with WWII epics Dunkirk and The Darkest Hour both bringing home a number of gongs.

After decades in the industry, Gary Oldman finally achieved his first Oscar for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in The Darkest Hour.

Allison Janney took home the Best Supporting Actress gong, and had the crowd in hysterics as she took to the stage to say: "I did it all on my own", rather than thank a raft of people.

Comedian turned writer Jordan Peele won Best Original Screenplay for the excellent horror film, Get Out.

British cinematography legend Roger Deakins won his first Oscar, despite 13 previous nominations, for Blade Runner 2049.

And the heartrending song Remember Me, from Pixar's Coco, won for Best Original Song.

Ex Holly0aks actress Rachel Shenton also won her first ever Academy Award for her Live Action short film The Silent Child, and she gave her acceptance speech in sign language.

Jennifer Lawrence has been having the time of her life at this year’s Oscars.

Earlier in the evening, she was spotted climbing over chairs while holding onto a glass of wine.

Jimmy returned to host the swanky awards ceremony for a second year and wowed the audience in the Dolby Theatre and at home with his opening monologue.

For many, as well as the night’s big winners, it was all about the fashion.

Gal Gadot and Margot Robbie topped the best dressed lists with their glamorous gowns.

But not everyone hit the spot with their style choices and Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman were panned by the fashion pack.

While Isla Fisher and Olivia Munn showed off their classic Hollywood style at the Vanity Fair Oscars bash.
