JIMMY Kimmel asked Steven Spielberg if he had any pot in one of the funniest exchanges of the Oscars 2018 awards ceremony.
The 50-year-old TV star - who is hosting the 90th Academy Awards - began the hilarious segment by asking the famous director who he was.
He said: "What do you do?"
The Hollywood veteran, 71, who is behind films including The Post, Jurassic Park and E.T, replied: "I'm married to Kate Capshaw."
He pointed towards his actress wife of 26 years who was sat next to him.
Jimmy than responded: "Oh, how nice. Her, I know.”
But he followed up with a second, rather random, question: "You got any pot?”
The director, who has previously won three Oscars, jokingly touched his hand to his pocket.
Jimmy then pretended he didn't realise they were live on air.
He said: “Sorry, I didn’t realise we were on.”
The talk show host then continued presenting the ceremony while Steven could be seen laughing behind him.
In his opening speech he took swipes at Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump and says the Oscars statue is "perfect man because he keeps his hands to himself".
Coming on stage to rapturous applause, Jimmy addressed the Hollywood sex scandal by describing the small gold figure awarded to winners as the ideal man.
The host said: "He keeps his hands where you can see them, and most of all...no penis."

The presenter added: "We can't let bad behaviour slide anymore. The world is watching us. We need to set an example.
"If we can work together to stop sexual harassment in the workplace, if we can do that, women will only have to deal with harassment all the time at every other place they go."
