Former Hollyoaks bad boy Paul Danan joins Page 3 Girl Lucy Pinder as she makes her stage debut in new play
PAUL Danan will be returning to the stage for the first time in years after being cast in the lead of Off West End play, Worth a Flutter.
Worth a Flutter is a comedy drama that explores being a man in a working class upbringing- and tackles a series of hard-hitting subjects including domestic violence, marriage breakdowns and growing up with a parent who has mental illness.
We see the dark and tragic past of four broken characters to understand what has lead them to this point and how they try to move forward.
It will focus on Matt (Michael Head) and Sam (Paul Danan) as they compete the affections of Helen, played by Emmerdale star Adele Silva.
Adele will be known to most as Kelly Windsor in the long-running soap, having played the role from 1993 to 2000 before returning to the soap in 2005.
Lucy Pinder, Page Three girl and actress from shows including The Royals, will be making her stage debut in the show, which will run from May 1st to 19th at the The Hope Theatre in Islington.
To add a bit of extra flair for the actors, everyone will be taking on two different roles as the play progresses – with Helen being the only character that remains a constant as the play progresses.
The show will be a return to acting for ‘Dangerous’ Paul Danan, who over the past ten years has become more known for his reality show presence than his acting.
He starred in Hollyoaks as Sol Patrick from 1997 to 2001, when his character was written out of the show.
His character left the village after several altercations with his girlfriend's pimp that caused them to push him from a balcony.
Paul later was one of the first celebs to join Celebrity Love Island in 2005, where he earned his Dangerous Danan nickname.
He shared the villa with the likes of Calum Best, Fran Cosgrave, Jayne Middlemiss and Abi Titmuss.
