Simon Thomas reveals heartwarming note he left for his son to take to school today after tearful appearance on This Morning
SIMON Thomas left a heartwarming note for his son today after his tearful appearance on This Morning.
The grieving Sky Sports presenter told Ethan, eight, that there are "1000s of people you don't even know cheering you on".
TV star Simon, 45, lost his wife Gemma, 40, in November, three days after she was diagnosed with blood cancer.
He appeared on This Morning yesterday to tell Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about the agonising moment he had to break the tragic news to his young son.
Afterwards, he was swamped with supportive messages from viewers and he passed on their love in a sweet handwritten note he left for his son.
Simon revealed he wrote the message for Ethan to cheer him up after he missed out on seeing the snow that was predicted.
The TV host shared the note on Instagram with the caption: "No snow here. Ethan’s a bit gutted. I’ve told him it is supposed to be coming! #snacknote #lightinthedarkness."
He wrote in the message for Ethan: "My boy - I know at times it feels like it's just you and me...
"But your family, your friends and 1000s of people you don't even know are cheering you on!
"I love you so much, Daddy xxx."
