Piers Morgan says ‘Simon Cowell should SACK David Walliams’ and get him back on Britain’s Got Talent
The controversial telly host has been locked in a war of words with Walliams for years - and it appears time doesn't make the heart grow fonder for these two, as Piers calls for the comedian to lose his spot on the BGT panel
PIERS Morgan has revealed that he would return to his spot on Britain’s Got Talent – if the price was right and he would replace David Walliams.
In the new issue of OK! Magazine, the feisty journalist revealed that he would be up for going back to the show after leaving in 2011.
He told the mag: "I'd be the new head judge if the money was right. If Simon made me an offer I couldn't refuse I would, and frankly looking at the performance of David Walliams, that question should come sooner rather than later!"
The GMB presenter also joked that multi-millionaire media mogul Simon “couldn’t afford him” and added: “When I was a judge the ratings were 20 million, and they're half that now.
"I'm doing the maths and it doesn't look good for Simon!"
Piers and David have been in a long-running feud for years – with both taking opportunities to make public jabs at the other on several occasions.
Last July, David refused an interview with Piers for his new series of Life Stories, opting instead to feature in a sit down chat with John Bishop’s series, A Conversation With.
Piers then quipped to the Daily Star that he “must prefer the smaller audience”, with the rival conversation show featuring on Channel W.
David hit back and called Piers and said that the interviewer was one of the country’s most unloved things.
“He comes between farts and rats - which I think is unfair on rats,” he scathed.
“My guess is that Piers Morgan will still be unloved for generations to come.”
Piers then retaliated by calling the BGT comedian “boring and vain”.
