Jennifer Aniston’s ex Justin Theroux looks miserable as he meet friends in New York two weeks after divorce announcement
JUSTIN Theroux cut a glum figure as he met up with a pal in New York yesterday, two weeks after it was announced he and Jennifer Aniston are to divorce.
The actor, 46, kept a low profile in a beanie, shades and khaki jacket as he cycled through the Big Apple on his yellow bike.
After pushing his bike along the pavement he locked it up and continued on foot as he grabbed a hot drink and met a male friend.
The bearded pair appeared to be shooting the breeze on the overcast day, with Justin temporarily turning his back on the glitz and glamour of the showbiz world.
He also broke his social media silence yesterday, posting on Instagram for the first time since February 9.
However, rather than posting cryptic quotes or angsty selfies, the actor, 46, opted to share pictures of some adorable puppies and dogs from a pet shelter in Austin.
In a collection of snaps which also included him holding some tiny puppies, Justin paid tribute to the work that Austin Pets Alive! does.
He wrote: “Texas!!! ⭐ Another very inspiring visit with the incredible people and pups @austinpetsalive. I cannot understand how they do what they do, day after day, so consistently and lovingly to save so many dogs and cats. I HIGHLY recommend going in and getting your nose bit by a toothless baby pitbull. Thes two aren’t yet ready to go, but when they are go get em...🐶🐾”
At the end of the post he hashtagged actress Selena Gomez and then in a lengthy hashtag wrote: “Yeah that’s right selena I did it to you again but if you saw these guys youd do whatever you could too also I know youre chill like that [sic]”
While Justin and 25-year-old Texas native Selena may seem like an unlikely friendship, the actress and Jennifer share management and Selena would often be invited to their home.

In a radio interview in 2015, Selena called Jen “amazing” and added: “We met through my management - they manage her as well - so it was kind of like a friendly meeting and instantly she’s, like, inviting me to her house.
“She has a pizza oven. Like, we’ve made pizzas at her house. She’s very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of, like, maternal advice.”
However the women were hit by rumours last year when Jen was allegedly annoyed by Justin “liking” Selena’s sultry poses on Instagram, with an insider telling InTouch: “She passive-aggressively asked him why he liked Selena’s photo, but Justin didn’t take the bait.”
Sources close to Jen dismissed the reports as untrue.
Jennifer and Justin split at the end of last year after two years of marriage.
We later revealed the pair were living apart and barely saw each other, while it also emerged Jen hated Justin's New York appartment and refused to live there.
