And Geri – who is best known as Ginger Spice - was quizzed about what they were planning by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer on today’s cooking show.

When asked about a reunion, she told them: “We're talking about it.

“We want to do something for our fans and the new generation. We are putting all the possibilities out there so watch this space.”

The 45-year-old went on to compare her relationship with Victoria Beckham, Mel C, Mel and Emma Bunton to “a marriage”.

She said:  “We got together when we were in our early 20s. Emma was 18. 20 years have passed.

“And to have that connection and maintain it, find that commonality, sometimes you have got to…. hold on to that.”

The hosts were keen to find out more about the recent reunion, which saw them all in a room together for the first time in years.

The mum-of-two revealed: “It's brilliant. We got back in the room together and said, 'Yes. Let's do something.

“Everyone has busy lives. We've all got children and different careers. So to get them all in a room was lovely.

“I did actually give them some chocolate brownies that I made. There's something wonderful about making food and bringing people together.”

Earlier this month The Sun revealed the group are planning to play lucrative stand-alone gigs across four continents – instead of a full on world tour.

A Spice source said: “Given the family situations, committing to a gruelling mega world tour was always a tough ask. When they got back together this month to discuss reforming, a mammoth tour was dismissed by the majority.

“But performing together again certainly wasn’t, so the idea of playing a few huge shows in various cities was one that received the most interest.

“However, that’s just one aspect of the comeback they’re exploring, with the TV show element their likely priority, especially in the short-term.”
