MALE Take Me Out contestants were warned to tone down suggestive comments to Chloe Sims and Claudia Fragapone in a special tenth anniversary episode.
Producers were reportedly worried over repercussions due to the current Me Too climate following a spate of sexual assault claims by women across the world.
Returning contestant Harry Berry told the Sun’s Bizarre column he was told to “be yourself” as the Towie and Strictly star were both feeling nervous.
He said: “We get briefed before the show.
“But before we knew who they were - we only found out when they come down in the lift - they did say to us, 'the girls are quite nervous' so they told us to be easy on them, compliment them.
“They said, 'be yourselves because we picked you for a reason'.
“I think they were worried being a bit of a wolf pack type thing. Sort of the guys giving all the sexual innuendos. Especially with the whole Me Too thing going on at the moment.
“All the guys were really nice to them and trying to do up her confidence really.”
Tomorrow’s special episode of the ITV show will feature 30 of host Paddy McGuinness’ favourite boys return to take their place behind the podiums.
Celebrity singletons Chloe, 35, and Olympic gymnast Claudia, 20, will be coming down the Love Lift.
Viewers of The Only Way Is Essex will have seen last year Chloe breaking down in tears as she struggled to get over an ex.
She told Paddy she is not into Essex men now.
