Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall is writing songs with her rocker boyfriend Jed Elliott for the band’s next album
LITTLE Mix star Jade Thirlwall has been mixing business with pleasure after heading into the studio with her boyfriend Jed Elliott.
Jade has admitted she and the rocker, who is a bassist in The Struts, have spent the past three months writing new tracks for her girl group's next album.
Revealing what she's been up to, Jade told The Daily Star: "We've had three months off with the band so I've been doing some studio sessions with Jed for some Little Mix stuff."
Talking more about what fans can expect, she added: "I think we're going to do a lot more girl power, all-female collaborations, bringing back the harmonies."
Jade was snapped alongside Jed on the red carpet at this week's Brit Awards in London.
Wearing a black dress, the singer was all smiles as she cosied up to her boyfriend, who she has been dating for more than a year.
Jade was at the the event with her band mates - Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock - but despite being nominated for British Single, they failed to win the award.
Little Mix were also nominated for British Artist Video Of The Year, which was run via an online poll during the event, but missed out at the last hurdle to Harry Styles.
Fans immediately took to Twitter in their droves, insisting the band were in the lead to win the award.
Some even accused organisers of "rigging" the vote, sharing screen shots of the poll - with Little Mix in the lead - just seconds before the vote closed.
However, officials at the BRITs told The Sun: "The final leaderboard was displayed on The BRITs website prior to the final count being checked and verified independently by the Electoral Reform Services, the company that independently run all BRITs voting processes.
"The leaderboard doesn’t work in real time and the vote was incredibly tight at the top. Fans can have complete confidence in the BRITs public vote.
"Multiple tweets by the same user did not count (as per our published terms and conditions) but do help with the trending stats on twitter which could have led to some confusion amongst voters."

The Electoral Reform Services added: "Robust vote-counting rules and filters are in place which are in accordance with ITV’s voting regulations, and agreed and tested prior to any vote taking place. We are confident that the vote integrity has not been compromised.”
Taking to Twitter, Perrie thanked her fans for all their support.
She wrote: "Kisses to all our amazing fans who do nothing but fight for us and show passion and dedication. You’re all my winners, I love you <3 #LittleMixFamily P<3".
