Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall reveals before and after pics of his hair transplant
The star had the procedure almost two years ago
CORONATION Street star Alan Halsall has revealed the results of his 2016 hair transplant.
The soap star underwent the procedure almost two years ago, but only witnessed the full extent of his hair regrowth when paying a visit to his doctor's office yesterday.
Clearly chuffed with the results, Alan shared a snap of his new, full hairline juxtaposed with his old one, which was up on a computer screen in the background.
"Before and after in 1 pic 'BessamFarjo," he wrote alongside the shot he posted on Twitter.
Just hours before revealing the results, Alan - who plays beloved mechanic Tyrone in the ITV soap - admitted he was "nervous" about having to see the pictures of his once receding hairline.
"Finally off to see for my after pictures nearly a year late I’m more nervous to see my before pics as I’ve never seen em," he quipped.
Alan enlisted the help of Dr Bessam Farjo at the Farjo Hair Institute in Manchester.
It was first confirmed that Alan had undergone a hair transplant in January 2017, when eagle-eyed Corrie viewers noticed his fuller-looking barnet.
"When Paddy McGuinness made a cameo on Corrie he also made jokes about his and Alan’s hair issues."
They added: "So Alan decided to take the plunge into getting a transplant last year. Since then, he’s been the talk of the set. Everyone is really impressed with how it looks."
Alan is the latest in a long line of celebs, including Calum Best, Wayne Rooney and most recently Gogglebox's Chris Butland-Steel, who have gone under the knife to restore their locks.
