13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford is drenched in blood filming new movie Spontaneous in Canada
The Australian actress is unrecognisable in gory scenes from her new movie
KATHERINE Langford has been drenched in blood while filming a horror scene from her new movie Spontaneous.
The 21-year-old, who won a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of high school student Hannah Baker in Netflix teen drama 13 Reasons Why, was barely recognisable in her gory new film.
Katherine looked gruesome as she walked down a street covered from head to toe in -thankfully fake -blood, on the set.
She had a zombie-esque glaze in her eyes as she gazed out into the street with her jeans, shirt and jacket completely drenched in red.
At one point a passerby tried to offer her help but Katherine looked vacant.
Katherine plays a high school student, just like she does in 13 Reasons Why.
The sci-fi film Spontaneous is about a girl whose high school class mates suddenly begin to literally explode around her.
The Australian actress was drenched in blood for the scene which was filmed in Vancouver, Canada.
Earlier in the day, The Misguided actress shot an altogether less messy scene which involved her character driving an ice cream truck.
In the scene, she was wearing clean versions of her clothes and her blonde tresses looked glossy before they got drenched in blood.

Meanwhile the second season of the hit series will be available on Netflix in 2018, though the exact date is yet to be revealed.
Executive producer Selena Gomez confirmed the news on Twitter with an eerie video showing the empty halls and settings of the series.
At the end of the clip the number 13 then shifts into 2.
