When are The Voice UK 2018 Knockouts and Battles and how do they work?
THE Voice is getting close to finding its 2018 winner.
As the show moves from the Blinds to the Battles and Knockouts, here's the lowdown on what those stages of the competition involve.
What are The Voice UK battle rounds?
The battle rounds follow the Blind Audition process of The Voice.
The coaches, Olly Murs, Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson and will.i.am, mentor their acts and pair them up – creating five duos from their team of ten.
The pairs then have to perform the same song together on stage.
The judges then have to pick who they want to save and should be left with just five remaining acts.
But it is not necessarily the end of the road for the acts that don’t make it through battle round.
The coaches can ‘steal’ one of the eliminated contestants – if they have been rejected by another coach.
The Voice UK battle rounds started on Saturday 24 February at 8.30pm on ITV and the final round aired on March 10.
What are The Voice UK Knockout rounds?
The Knockouts follow the Battles, and see the final contestants compete for a place in the live shows.
Those remaining on each coach's team have to perform again for survival, and the number of singers is halved.
Only some of the hopefuls will make it to the semi-final and have a chance of winning the competition.
Each judge is joined by a celebrity guest mentor to help them through the process.
The knockouts started on Saturday, March 17 and conclude on March 24, with the show kicking off at 7:00pm.
