Kate Moss does a Marilyn Monroe as she sings Happy Birthday to pal Mert Alas after jumping out of a cake at his star-studded party
KATE Moss stole the show at her mate Mert Alas's birthday bash by clambering out of a cardboard cake to sing Happy Birthday.
Party goers were thrilled when the supermodel - who was revealed in the fake cake clutching a microphone - burst into song, like the late Marilyn Monroe once did for President John F. Kennedy.
Kate attended the swanky bash for fashion photographer Mert Alas – who makes up one half of photography duo Mert and Marcus – at MNKY HSE in London’s Mayfair.
The party, which was sponsored by vodka brand Cîroc and conveniently held bang in the middle of London Fashion Week, was also attended by Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o, and Lindsay Lohan.
Leonardo DiCaprio and singer Rihanna were also rumoured to have been invited, but weren't spotted at the fancy party.
The crowd were said to go wild for Kate's rendition of Happy Birthday, which Mert showed off on his Instagram account.
Like the cat who had got the cream, Mert captioned his Insta pictures of Kate with the words: "I mean I literally had Kate Moss came out of my bday cake." (sic)
Kate sang the birthday song in a super sultry, breathy way before bursting into a fit of giggles and having to be encouraged to continue by the party revellers.
She was later snapped leaving the party looking like she'd had a very good time indeed.
