When does Dynasties start on BBC One and what's it about?
David Attenborough's latest science and nature factual documentary series continues tonight, Sunday, December 9, 2018.
The fourth episode of the five-parter airs at 8pm on BBC One.
In tonight's episode, David will be narrating the story of a wolf pack on the banks of the Zambezi river. An ageing matriarch faces a challenge for supremacy from her own daughter, who now has a pack of her own, and wants to expand into new territory.
Their circumstances are complicated by the fact that both packs are being penned in by growing human-occupied lands around them.
Dynasties, from the team behind Planet Earth II, follows individual animals at the most critical period in their lives.
Because each of the animals are rulers - a leader of their family, their troop, their pride - they are determined to hold on to power and protect their family, their territory and their dynasties.
However, the odds are stacked against them as their habitats come under increasing pressure.

What animals feature in Dynasties?
The very first episode explored the chimpanzee dynasty.
It followed a chimpanzee named David in Senegal as he tries to overcome threats to his leadership.
