EastEnders’ Lauren Branning leaves Walford and viewers are totally confused after she walks off without any belongings
LAUREN Branning has finally left EastEnders and viewers are utterly confused.
The unemployed single mother - who is played by actress Jacqueline Jossa in the BBC soap - left her home for a new future in tonight's episode, but it's not exactly clear where she went or who with.
With her sister's funeral finally taking place, Lauren decided it was time for her to leave Albert Square for pastures new.
"Life's short, be happy, live your life for the both of you," Max told her beside Abi's coffin after she found him saying a private goodbye.
And the words seemed to give Lauren pause for thought and she opted to walk out of her sister's funeral to a waiting Josh and promptly went straight past him.
Instead of stopping to speak to him or collect any of her things from their packed car, she grabbed her son Louis and just walked passed him through the graveyard.
The ending for Lauren left viewers totally confused with fans wondering if she was planning to live in the cemetery.
One wrote: "So Lauren hobbled into a life in a cemetery, no money and a toddler? #EastEnders"
A second added: "Lauren and Josh have been fine for weeks then in about 5 minutes the writers decide she doesn’t love him and she wanders off?! #EastEnders"
A third tweeted: "So did Lauren just walk away from Josh and he accepted they were over without question?? What? #EastEnders"
Another said: "Wait up...did Lauren leave with Josh or just walk up that random path and disappear into thin air?! @bbceastenders #EastEnders."
A fifth wrote: "Is Lauren not gonna get her stuff out of Josh's car?? #Eastenders"
