EMMERDALE viewers have been left in tears for Ross Barton after his baby son Moses failed to recognise him.
The mechanic - who is played by actor Michael Parr in the ITV soap - broke down and sobbed after he removed his bandages to show his acid attack wounds but Moses didn't recognise him.
As Charity and Debbie brought the toddler in, he looked at his father before turning away and clinging to his aunt Debbie.
Ross's pleas for Moses to come to him went unanswered with him clearly not recognising his dad, and it was too much for Ross.
"Get him out of here now," he shouted forcing them to rush him out.
But as he struggled to contain his emotions, Ross began screaming for everyone to leave, devastating Debbie who is already struggling with her guilt over causing the attack.
"Everybody get out of here now. I said get out of here now."
"Ross, I'm so sorry, I'm sorry," Debbie said as it looked like she might be about to confess to her role in the vile attack.
But before she could say anything, Pete dragged her out in roder to give Ross some privacy after his heartbreaking meeting with Moses.
Viewers couldn't hold back their tears at the emotional scene.
One wrote: "My heart is breaking for Ross #Emmerdale. @MikeParrActor is doing a amazing job for this storyline. He had me in tears tonight."
Another said: "Had a feeling Moses wouldn’t recognise his dad poor Ross this is absolutely heartbreaking!!! #emmerdale"
A third added: "Such a sad scene in the hospital, I wanted to say "MOSES, LOOK AT ROSS" #Emmerdale"
