Towie’s Yazmin Oukhellou reveals Justin Bieber gave James Lock’s ‘Bieber hair’ the stamp of approval on Instagram
YAZMIN Oukhellou says Justin Bieber approved of James Lock's 'Bieber' style fringe which he showed off on the red carpet recently.
The Towie star, 24, said the singer had 'liked' an Instagram snap posted by her reality star boyfriend, 31, where he asked fans what they thought of his new look just before heading to the National Television Awards last month.
Yazmin, who made the revelation in her , also gave her views on a later post in which James explained a hair transplant was the reason for his dramatically-different mop.
She said: "He quickly revealed after that it was because his hair transplant hadn't healed yet, but you know what, I wish he didn’t explain himself.
"He didn't need to. But he did have surgery, and I give it to him for even going to the event – I don’t think I would even have gone if I’d had the same procedure!"
While James has admitted the look was temporary, his girlfriend added she was quite a fan.
She said: "He rocked it and I think he should have embraced it.
"He looked so great, and I quite liked the Bieber-sweep – it took ten years off him!
"I’d like him to give it another go."
Yazmin's insight into what happened behind-the-scenes with James's hair at the NTAs came just weeks after he was forced to defend the hairstyle against fans who slammed his sweeping fringe.
The Towie star said his "Justin Bieber" mop was only temporary and meant to disguise a hair transplant that hadn't yet healed.
In a post accompanying a picture of him and girlfriend Yazmin he wrote: "For everyone wondering what’s going on with my hair, 2 weeks ago I had a hair operation and it hasn’t healed yet!
";Hence the bieber hairstyle!! This is not my new look!
"You will be glad to know you will never see this hairstyle again, but thanks for the feedback 😊 it’s all love."
The Essex heartthrob showed off the dramatic restyle at the National Television Awards in January.
In another Instagram post from the night he asked fans what they thought of his new locks.
