Claire Catherine Danes is an American actress who has found international fame across stage, film and TV.

Born in 1979, Claire dominated pop culture in the 90s. She made her big screen debut in 1994, starring opposite Winona Ryder and Kirsten Dunst in Little Women.

Claire shot to the A-list after taking on the lead role in Baz Luhrman's adaptation of Romeo + Juliet at the age of just 16. Her other film credits include Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Brigsby Bear, and Me and Orson Welles.

Since 2011, Claire has starred as the unpredictable but brilliant Carrie Mathison in spy thriller Homeland.

Who is Claire Danes married to?

Claire married fellow actor Hugh Dancy in 2009 after meeting three years earlier on the set of Evening.

They currently reside in the West Village district of New York City.

Hugh and Claire welcomed their son Cyrus in 2012.

The Homeland star announced she was expecting her second child on live radio in early 2018.

On September 1, a spokesman for the actress confirmed she had given birth to another son.

What is Homeland?

Homeland is an American political thriller television series developed by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa

It is based on the Israeli series Prisoners of War (Original Hebrew title Hatufim, literally "Abductees"), which was created by Gideon Raff.

The series stars Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a Central Intelligence Agency officer with bipolar disorder.

The series has received several awards, including the 2012 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, and the 2011 and 2012 Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama, as well as Lead Actress in a Drama Series and Claire Danes, respectively.
