THE single blokes on ITV’s Survival Of The Fittest can breathe a big sigh of relief – they may have just dodged a bullet.
A showdown with EastEnders hardman DANNY DYER is now off the cards.
His daughter Dani had to quit the ITV2 show, injured, before they could test their pulling skills.
Barmaid DANI dislocated a shoulder as she landed badly after careering headfirst down a waterslide while filming a challenge.
She was treated on site then taken to hospital on Saturday afternoon — a day after entering the ITV2 show’s lodge in the South African wild.
Producers decided she was not fit to continue on the show from the makers of Love Island.
A source said: “It was a really nasty fall. Dani knew straight away she had done serious damage but tried to continue as she didn’t want to seem like a wuss. It was too much, though, and she was taken to hospital."
Due to the nature of the series, where the boys and girls battle tough physical challenges, as well as mental ones, the producers decided Dani would have to be replaced. It’s a shame for everyone because she was looking forward to taking part and ITV were chuffed to sign her.”
Dani was one of the show’s biggest signings along with I’m A Celebrity 2017 winner GEORGIA ‘TOFF’ TOFFOLO’s ex JAMES MIDDLETON.
Survival Of The Fittest, hosted by LAURA WHITMORE, sees male and female teams face off in a battle of the sexes — and allows some romance — before the public decides who to axe.
The series, which started last night, has been dubbed the Winter Love Island. The original was more about broken hearts than crocked shoulders, though.
Scarlett curls up with lee
SCARLETT MOFFATT had better think up a good Valentine’s Day gift.
I told last week how she was dating fitness model Lee Wilkinson and now she confirms this with the Instagram snap of the pair on Saturday. She wrote: “Love this one... love a night in Newcastle #datenight.”
Scarlett – pictured in hair curlers this week, left, looking very different from her Instagram snaps – has known Lee for more than a decade but they got together at Christmas.
It puts an end to the silly rumours she was having a fling with telly pal ANT McPARTLIN, and comes four months after she split from her long-term fella Luke Crodden.
The pair were on and off for almost three years and shared a flat in London before the split.
Scarlett deserves happiness – I hope she finds it with Lee.

X-rated trojan phwoar
AWASH with sex, gore and drugs, viewers of drama Troy: Fall of a City might think they tuned into Game Of Thrones. The BBC has clearly been inspired by Westeros as it delivers its own epic starting this Saturday.
The eight-parter sees the channel team up with Netflix – and show writer David Farr says it was the company’s millions which helped produce a drama packed with hot stars and brutal battles.
Farr, who also created BBC1 hit drama The Night Manager, says: “There is so much more money now coming from the likes of Netflix and HBO, enabling British talent to tackle bigger subjects.”
The drama is about the Trojan War of Greek mythology and a love affair between two of the key players.
Farr added: “The BBC were confident of what they wanted – an adult drama. It’s definitely post-watershed viewing.”
From the man who brought us TOM HIDDLESTON’s bum, it’s not hard to guess why.
Bieb keeps up The Beeb
McMAFIA looks set for a second series after last night’s finale saw JAMES NORTON avenge his uncle’s death by killing mobster VADIM.
But bosses will need to find different filming locations for its next outing, as James was left knackered after being kept up by popstar JUSTIN BIEBER when shooting in Croatia.
Director James Watkins said: “Bieber was taking the penthouse on one of the top floors and had a party. People were notified that there was going be after-party noise and some people from the upper-floors had to move rooms.
“James was a bit bleary-eyed. He was like: ‘Thanks for the noise, Bieber!’”
But the singer was the least of Bond hopeful James’ worries. The actor, who plays banker-turned-gangster Alex Godman in the BBC1 show, had to endure three more sleepless nights, courtesy of the World Zumba Championships.
Director James added: “That was a massive party. People from across Europe congregated at these championships and they were there Zumba-ing away for three nights – I think that was actually worse than Bieber.”
Not much is.
