DANNY Dyer was so worried about people having sex on Survival of the Fittest that he grilled bosses before allowing his daughter Dani to take part.
According to The Daily Star, the actor, 40, didn’t want his 21-year-old daughter to “humiliate” herself or the family on the show dubbed “the winter Love Island.”
A source said: “Danny didn’t want his daughter taking part at first. It sounds ironic after all the trouble he’s got himself into in the past, but he didn’t want the family or Dani to be humiliated.
“He was uncertain about her taking part so he spoke with producers and bosses at ITV to get assurances that everyone wouldn’t be having sex and she would be safe.
“It wasn’t until he had grilled TV executives that he gave her his permission.”
This will come as no surprise to barmaid Dani who said her dad would “do over” anyone who upsets her.
She also told The Sun: “He’s massively protective but I haven’t had many boyfriends so he’s had it quite lucky, until now.”
But Danny didn’t let his daughter fly to South Africa before giving her some words of wisdom, telling her not to be a “melt” – slang for someone who needs to toughen up.
She added: “He said not to be a melt around any boys.
"He knows they're going to have their six packs out and I told him 'just because you don't have one.'”

Dani is hoping that being on the show will mean she can pursue her dream job as an actress after revealing that EastEnders bosses have banned her from even auditioning.
She said: "They won't let me on it. I've never had an audition, they won't let me because my dad is already on it.
"There would be massive outrage. I'm proud of him on there, he's just Mick isn't he?"
