Laura Whitmore says she delayed having children because of her career but can’t wait to start a family
The TV host is bringing the heat with her latest show Survival of the Fittest and is hoping the single contestants take it all the way
LAURA Whitmore has revealed that she's keen to start a family but is currently focusing on her TV projects.
The TV host has also opened up on comparisons between Love Island and her latest major on-screen stint on Survival of the Fittest.
Laura told the : "I definitely want a family. At my age now I'm in my early thirties, a lot of my friends are getting married, having kids, some can't have kids.
"I don't know, I think at the moment I'm just trying to get through this week."
The 32-year-old went on to praise her boyfriend Iain Stirling who she met at a party last year.
She added: "I just think it's really important to enjoy the now and I'm very lucky to be with someone who understands the industry I'm in. It's quite good to have someone who gets that."
While her beau provides the hilarious commentary for Love Island, Laura insists that there's no rivalry with her new show, Survival of the Fittest.
She explained: "I suppose there's always a reason to compare it, but the difference is this isn't a dating show.
"If you're not a couple, you don't get sent home. It's boys versus girls and I think you can see similarities in a lot of shows with that - even on Love Island there was something like that with Chris and Kem and their bromance.
"There's other things that weren't explored before so with this show we can explore the brotherhood, the sisterhood. If I fancy someone on the other team, is that going to affect my tactics, and I think that's the really interesting aspect of the show."
