What's was the Debbie Dingle acid attack?
Michael's Emmerdale character was left struggling to cope after his shocking acid attack at the hands of ex-girlfriend Debbie Dingle.
He became an accidental victim when Debbie - played by Charley Webb - tried to get revenge on Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and urged drug dealer Simon McManus (Liam Ainsworth) to get in Joe’s head and mess with him.
Unbeknown to Debbie, Simon was armed with a corrosive substance.
But things turned sour when Simon went after the wrong man and attacked Ross with the acid.
Ross ended up critically injured in hospital, where Debbie's dad, Cain Dingle, found out she is responsible for his horror injuries.
When Debbie first went to visit him, she discovered he was suicidal as his face was horrifically burned and scarred after the attack.
THE LATEST FROM THE DALES
Ross’ older brother Pete struggled as well, not knowing how to support his depressed brother.
Things then got worse for Ross as Debbie left him to reunite with ex-boyfriend Joe Tate.
