Danny Dyer warns daughter Dani ‘don’t do anything silly’ on ‘new Love Island’ show Survival Of The Fittest
The soap hardman’s daughter has revealed he got ‘protective’ when she told him she was joining the glam new reality show
DANNY Dyer warned his daughter not to do “anything silly” when she told him she was joining sexy “new Love Island” Survival Of The Fittest.
Barmaid Dani Mas Dyer, 21, is taking part in the new ITV2 series which has a line-up of stars stripped to their bikinis and shorts in the South African sun.
Dani said: “When I first told him, like any dad, he had his protective hat on and said, ‘Don’t do anything silly.’
“Now he is getting it and he said ‘It feels real now and I’m so proud of you.’”
She added: “He knows the person I am and he is really excited and it’s nice to have that support at home.
"He probably will be emotional as well. My mum and dad will be watching it every single night.”
The EastEnders star is now fully behind his daughter – in fact he can’t quite believe she’s his.
Uploading one of her sexy shots of Instagram today, Danny wrote: “How on earth this fine specimen came from my loins I will never know. #survivalofthefittest #Dani”
Dani’s dad might not be the only famous face watching her in the battle of the sexes – a certain A-list babysitter could also be tuning in.
Dani said: “I’ve been baby sat by Keira Knightley. I was really young.
“My dad was filming with her ex-partner who she was with and she was on set. I must have been about seven or eight.
“She used to take me swimming. She was like a bigger sister to me and I loved her.
“It’s only when I got home that I realised she was in Bend it like Beckham. Now look at her! I hope she remembers me.”
Dani is the oldest of 40-year-old EastEnders actor Danny’s three daughters and has worked as a pint-puller at The Owl pub in Loughton, Essex.
She has starred in eight movies — including Brit action thriller Age Of Kill opposite Martin Kemp, 56 — and filmed upcoming drama Heckle about a comedian’s insane stalker last year.
