KYM Marsh underwent a procedure to make sure she can't have any more kids after deciding she doesn't want to become a mum again.
The Coronation Street star revealed she doesn't want to risk the pain of losing another child following the death of her son Archie.
Kym, 41, is mum to four kids, but she suffered a tragedy when her little boy - her first child with fellow soap star Jamie Lomas - died just minutes after his birth in 2009.
She later welcomed a daughter Polly with Jamie in 2011, but the pregnancy was plagued by complications and she was put on bed rest for "months".
Kim decided she didn't want to have any more children, and she's now revealed she underwent a procedure following Polly's birth so she can't become a mum again.
She told OK! magazine: "I was constantly having contractions from 16 weeks [when pregnant with Polly] but I couldn't feel them.
"We only knew because they were monitoring me so closely because of what happened with Archie.
"Polly was seven weeks premature but okay and at my six-week check-up... I told him I didn't want any more [children].
"I didn't want to go through the trauma again because there would never be any guarantee it would be fine.
"And not just for me, but for my children and my parents - everyone suffered."
The procedure Kym had is called an ablation of the womb - also known as endometrial ablation - it permanently removes a thin tissue layer of the lining of the uterus and is used as an alternative to a hysterectomy.
After undergoing the op, it becomes less likely a woman will get pregnant and her periods will often stop.
Kym previously opened up about her family tragedy during appearance on Lorraine last week.
She said of the loss of Archie: "We celebrate his birthday every year and put balloons up at Christmas and new year. He is a huge part of our family...
"Baby loss is a taboo subject, and we wanted to get people talking. I've been there, I know how people feel.
