Lady Gaga cancels remainder of her world tour due to ‘severe pain’ including dates in London and Manchester

LADY Gaga has announced she is cancelling the rest of her world tour - including two UK dates - due to "severe pain" that is "beyond my control".

In a statement shared from the 31-year-old singer's Twitter account, the star told fans she needed to "put myself and my well-being first" just days after she took to the stage in Birmingham.

The full statement read: "Unfortunately, Lady Gaga is suffering from severe pain that has materially impacted her ability to perform live.

"As a result, Live Nation and Lady Gaga are announcing the cancellation of the final 10 dates of the European leg of her Joanne World Tour.

"Last night, with strong support from her medical team, Lady Gaga made the tough decision to immediately come off the road.

"She is extremely sorry and deeply saddened that she cannot perform for her European fans, who have waited so patiently.

"She is in the care of expert medical professionals who are working closely with her so she can continue to perform for her fans for years to come.

"Ticket Holders may obtain a refund beginning Tuesday, 6-February at point of purchase."

The statement continued: "I'm so devastated I don't know how to describe it.

"All I know is that if I don't do this, I am not standing by the words or meaning of my music.

"All my medical team is supporting the decision for me to recover at home.

"London, Manchester, Zurich, Koln, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Paris and Berlin. And Rio.

"I promise I will be back in your city, but for now, I need to put myself and my well-being first.

"I love you, forever. XX Gaga."

Lady Gaga was due to perform in London on Sunday February 4 2018 and Manchester on Tuesday February 6 2018.

She kicked off the UK leg of her tour earlier this week in Birmingham where she wowed fans with eleven outfit changes.

While she has not revealed specific details about what is causing her "severe pain" on this occasion, the American singer last year opened up about suffering from Fibromyalgia in the documentary Five Foot Two.

In September 2017 she cancelled the European leg of her Joanne World Tour and in October announced rescheduled dates for 2018.
