Celebrity Big Brother final on ’10 minute delay’ after pranksters broke in twice

TONIGHT'S Celebrity Big Brother final ran on a "10 minute delay" after pranksters previously broke into the house twice.

The grand finale saw Courtney Act/Shane Jenek crowned the winner over former MP Ann Widdecombe.

While the first half of the show was live, the second section - which came after a 30 minute break - featured a 10 minute delay.

An insider confirmed the delay to The Sun Online, which followed Tuesday night's semi-final - which ran 20 minutes behind the live action - after pranksters broke into the garden during last Friday's eviction show.

Housemate Jess Impiazzi was left terrified at the time, when the intruders made it into the garden just as Daniel O'Reilly was told he was the third housemate to be leaving during the first triple eviction of the series.

While no one was hurt, show bosses appeared to take measures to make sure there wasn't a repeat performance during the triple eviction and again in tonight's final.

Tuesday's Celebrity Big Brother eviction ran on a 20 minute delayAs Ashley James, Malika Haqq and Amanda Barrie were given their marching orders on Tuesday, viewers at home were unaware that they weren't watching the action 'Live' as advertised in the top corner of the screen.

In fact, the footage had been filmed almost half an hour earlier, with images of the departing housemates starting to circulate a number of minutes before Emma Willis announced their names on the TV.

A representative for Celebrity Big Brother declined to comment when approached by The Sun Online at the time.

The delays came after voices could be heard on last Friday's live show as YouTube pranksters Ally Law and Ryan Taylor entered the garden.

Malika Haqq could be seen looking at the windows as the shutter came down on last Friday's showAs Daniel was evicted, the shutters could be seen going down as Wayne Sleep said: "There's people in the house".

Ashley shouted: "Oh my god someone is trying to get in".

Meanwhile Jess said: "Oh my God help me I'm scared" as the housemates looked confused while trying to say goodbye to their friend.

Taking to Snapchat, Ryan posted footage of him and Ally in the garden and peering through the glass doors.
