Jeremy McConnell ‘could face jail after contacting ex Stephanie Davis and breaching restraining order’
JEREMY McConnell could face jail after allegedly breaching his restraining order by contacting ex Stephanie Davis.
Police are investigating after the reality star, 27, was accused of pestering the mother of his child with social media messages — thought to be attacking her new boyfriend.
A Merseyside Police spokesman told The Sun Online: "[We] received an allegation that a restraining order has been breached by a 27-year-old man.
"A report was received on 12 January that the man had contacted a former partner.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish whether or not the order has been breached and appropriate action will be taken."
Today Jeremy denied the allegations — which he called "ridiculous and categorically untrue".
He said: "After I was released from prison I have been working hard to move on with my life and I have certainly not sought to contact Stephanie Davis in any way whatsoever".
McConnell has only been out of jail for just over a month. He had been locked up for breaking a probation order by flying to Turkey to undergo a hair transplant.
The Irish model was slapped with a 20-week suspended prison sentence in August for beating up ex-Hollyoaks star Steph during a cocaine-fuelled rage.
A three-year restraining order banned him from contacting her or going anywhere near her.
Stephanie, then pregnant, revealed the extent of her injuries with shocking selfies showing her bruising.
The judge at the time of his conviction said: "Steph had a number of injuries that were entirely consistent with her evidence including a large bite mark to her arm.
“I find you have displayed no remorse, not even for the effect of this episode on your young baby.”
Stephanie has since moved on with new boyfriend Jacob Gill.
Pals close to the star said she was happier than ever after falling for the former DJ.
But he is thought to be the subject of the alleged messages sent by McConnell using fake online profiles, according to the .
Despite his stint in jail McConnell has not been keeping a low profile lately.
He was snapped stripping off in the street last weekend during a night out in Manchester.
And the tattoo-fanatic has been getting more inkings as he revealed a locket and a key drawn on his scalp and an angel and skull on the side and back of his head.
Yesterday, McConnell couldn't take his hands off Page Three model Charlotte Huntley as they stepped out for ice creams — but pals claim they are "just friends".
He even bought a regal title so he can officially be called a Lord.
A friend said: "This is a fresh start for Jeremy and what better way to start anew than becoming a Lord.
“His mates think it’s brilliant and Jeremy’s joked he wants to be known as ‘Lord McConnell’ from now on."
