The 27-year-old was under the influence of the Class A substance when he attacked Stephanie and is now prohibited from contacting her for three years.

He was jailed for 34 days after he breached the original terms of his sentence following the violent assault which left her with five fractured ribs.

Jeremy insisted to The Sun Online he's now clean from drugs and wants to move on with his life.

Jeremy was recently pictured with glamour model Charlotte Huntley however he denied they were dating and said his new girlfriend is not in the spotlight.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Jeremy said: “I’ve met someone now. She’s taught me a lot about that and she’s made me very happy. I can’t hide forever who I’m with but she’s made me feel strong again.

“I see myself with a wife and a family. I just want to be happy and move on with this girl. It’s baby steps.”

Jeremy hasn’t seen Caben in over seven months after his attack on 24-year-old Steph.

Despite longing to see his son, Jeremy said he understood it may be a long time before that happens because of the restraining order.

He said: “I should be held responsible for what I did that day. I got sent to prison and I did the time. I hit self-destruct, it was my lowest point. Jail gave me time to reflect and I’ll never make those mistakes again.”

While Jeremy waits to hear from the official channels about seeing his young son, the Celebrity Big Brother star said he was happy for him to be raised by Stephanie's new boyfriend, notorious party boy Jacob Gill.

Jeremy explained: “You have to man up and accept reality. We weren’t good together it doesn’t mean we’re not good parents.

“Caben’s mother is a decent judge of character to have someone around my son and I am alright with that.

“If I met him I would shake his hand. I’ve had enough of awkward situations.”

Jeremy said he has a collection of personal things to give to his son, including his first birthday card, when he gets access to him

Former Hollyoaks actress blasted Jeremy after he posted a tribute to him on Instagram to mark his first birthday.
She told her followers she'd received no money for the little boy nor any cards to mark his special day.

However Jeremy insisted he has made an effort for his son.

He explained: “There’s personal stuff I’ve done for Caben, like Birthday cards, and he will have them when I see him. I know I will be a good a good father to him when I get the chance.”

Now Jeremy watches his son growing up through social media posts put online by Steph.

He added: “I have to look at his mother’s Instagram to watch Caben grow up.

“It’s sad but it’s the only option I have to see him. I know I will be a good father to him.

The next step for Jeremy is to make contact with Steph's legal team to try and organise access to Caben.

Jeremy said: “I want to play football with him and be there for him.

“He's the only blood link I have to my late mother and father. He means a lot to me and I will make it up to him.

“The next step is contact and mediation and, when the three year restraining order is over, we can sit down and focus on Caben and not us.”

Jeremy was not paid for his interview with The Sun Online.
