What are Kesha’s Praying lyrics, why did she perform it at the Grammys 2018 and who’s the song about?
KESHA left Grammys viewers in tears after her emotional performance of her song, Praying, at the 2018 awards ceremony.
But, what's the song about and why did she choose to perform the track at the Grammys 2018? Let's find out?
What is Kesha's Praying about?
Kesha - who was the centre of a series of legal battles in 2014 with her former producer Dr Luke, whom she claimed had sexually assaulted her throughout their time working together back in 2014 - has said that Praying is about hoping that people can heal.
Various music reviewers suggested that the song is about Dr. Luke, although he is never mentioned in the song by name.
The song is from Kesha's album Rainbow, and the star has said every track on the album is personal.
She revealed: "I've written every song on this album, and they're all so personal.
"I think this record is quite literally saving my life. And I hope you guys like, and I hope you can hear it, and I hope it helps people."
Of Praying, she said: "I think is just really important because it talks about me personally going through something really hard, lots of very hard things, making it through, not giving up and finding empathy on the other side, which is incredibly hard sometimes."

Why did she choose to perform the track at the Grammys 2018?
During her performance at the ceremony - which saw celebs band together to call “Time’s Up” in the music industry - Kesha was flanked by a choir of fellow singers including Camila Cabello, Bebe Rexha and Cyndi Lauper.
Kesha was introduced to the stage by actress and musician Janelle Monae, who also gave her solidarity to the Time’s Up movement currently sweeping through Hollywood.
Speaking to the crowd, Janelle requested a call to arms with her fellow celebrity women, and said: “Tonight, I am proud to stand in solidarity as not just an artist, but a young woman with my fellow sisters in this room who make up the music industry.
“We are also daughters, wives, mothers and human beings. We come in peace, but we mean business.”
“To those who would dare try to silence us, we offer you two words: “Time’s Up,” she added.
She then dealt a chilling reminder to those in the music business and said that the sexual assaults and harassment cases were not exclusive to the film industry and said: “It’s right here in our industry as well.
“We also have the power to undo the culture that does not serve us well. So let’s work together, women and men, as a united music industry committed to creating more safe work environments, with equal pay and access for all women.”

Some of the biggest music stars showed their support for the #MeToo movement which dominated the agenda at the Golden Globes in the wake of the Hollywood sex scandal.
Many wore a white rose corsage as a sign of solidarity with those who’ve spoken out about their experience of harassment and abuse in Hollywood.
However, some celebs – including Katie Holmes and Rihanna – noticeably opted out of the mark.
Before this year’s Grammys, hundreds of stars, including Pink, Fergie, Rita Ora and Zayn Malik, signed a letter released by Voices Of Entertainment which encouraged everyone to wear the symbolic flower.
The letter said they wanted to add “a heightened awareness of accountability that our sisters started on January 1st and continued through the Golden Globes and onward.”
It went on to say: “Inspired by the #TimesUp campaign, tonight we stand with our brothers and sisters in music in support of equal representation in the workplace.
“White roses were chosen because they are symbolic of ‘hope, peace, sympathy and resistance.’”
