Former X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother star Katie Waissel announces she is pregnant with her first baby
KATIE Waissel has announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
The 32-year-old who rose to fame in X Factor 2010 revealed she and partner Andy Speer are expecting their first child in an emotional Instagram post on Sunday afternoon.
Holding an ultrasound scan by her tummy, with a sign reading “Baby Speer coming Summer 2018” in the background, Katie shared the news in a lengthy post.
She wrote: “So today is officially the day that I get to share the greatest blessings on earth with you! For those who have been such a huge part of my journey over the years, you will know that life certainly hasn’t always thrown me roses however it has honestly been perfectly imperfect.
“The amazing thing is, life threw me all the tools I could possibly need to build and craft such an incredible future and now I can say this rose bush has blossomed into such beautiful flowers.
“You have watched me at my most vulnerable, and my most fearless, through some incredibly tough times and followed me right by my side through to the shining light at the end of some of the darkest tunnels.
“And now, you get to witness the greatest blessing life could bestow upon another human being. The gift of life! Andy and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting!”
The singer then went on to reveal she is expecting a boy.
She wrote: “Overwhelmed and overjoyed, we couldn’t be more excited that we have created such an incredible human being and he isn’t even here yet! We would love for you to follow our journey at thefitbumpnyc.com

This happy news comes after a tumultuous few years in Katie’s personal life.
In 2012, she tied the knot to male model Brad Alphonso, but the pair split after just two months of marriage.
Three years later, she got hitched with TV host Brian Moote, but the breakdown of their relationship was confirmed when she stepped out without a wedding ring.
It took Katie a few months since announcing their split to give any reason behind the decision, but in March 2017 the singer took to Facebook to claim her estranged spouse was sleeping with one of their neighbours since their breakup, and possibly before.
She wrote: “Having found out that my husband, that I am currently only just separated from, who claims to still ‘love me’ and is ‘apologetic’ and even came to NYC to work things out, has been let’s see how to put it politely, f*****g our neighbour since the moment I left.
“And who knows, knowing his track record maybe even before, a girl I confided in for a whole year (I know so so disgusting!!!).”
Sources close to Brian insisted there are “two sides to every story”.
It’s not known when Katie and Andy’s relationship started but she went Instagram official with him for the first time on November 8th last year.
