How many kids do Cherry and Ed have?

Together the couple have two children.

Ed announced on September 1, 2020, that Cherry had given birth to their first baby, a girl called Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.

The superstar singer shared a sweet snap of a pair of socks belonging to his daughter to reveal the happy news.

The couple kept Cherry's pregnancy quiet, and chose not to announce the news in public.

Then on May 19, 2022, Ed revealed they had welcomed another daughter.

They again kept Cherry's pregnancy a secret.

Taking to Instagram Ed wrote: “I want to let you all know we’ve had another beautiful baby girl.

“We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to now be a family of four.”

When did they get married?

The couple knew each other from school but it wasn't until 2015 that Ed asked her out and they began dating.

The pair got engaged over Christmas 2017.

Ed took to Instagram in January 2018 and announced to his followers that he had proposed to his long time love Cherry.

He captioned the snap: “Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx”

In February 2019, The Sun exclusively revealed that the pair had got married in secret.

A source close to the singer revealed: “Ed got married a few days before Christmas. It was very quiet – just Ed’s oldest school pals, limited family and the priest.

“There were only 40 people – so no Taylor Swift, record company executives or any royals or pop star pals. He wanted no fuss and he wanted it to be something entirely for them – just a tiny winter wedding.

“It’s amazing that he’s the biggest pop star in the world but he was just able to quietly slide off and wed.

“Neither of them were that fussed about making a big deal about it. Cherry just wanted to get it out of the way without any problems or intrusions.”

Who is Cherry Seaborn?

Cherry Seaborn was born on May 6, 1992, in Suffolk.

As well as being a mother and wife, she also grows vegetables for a living.

In 2020, The Sun exclusively revealed how Cherry quit her career as a risk manager to pursue green projects.

How did Cherry Seaborn’s cancer diagnosis change the couples’ lives?

In March 2023, Ed revealed in an Instagram post about his album Subtract, that his wife Cherry had previously been diagnosed with a tumour in her arm.

As she was six months pregnant at the time with their second child, she could only seek treatment after the baby was born.

Writing to fans, Ed said: “I had been working on Subtract for a decade, trying to sculpt the perfect acoustic album, writing and recording hundreds of songs with a clear vision of what I thought it should be.

“Then at the start of 2022, a series of events changed my life, my mental health and ultimately the way I viewed music and art."

He continued: “Within the space of a month, my pregnant wife got told she had a tumour, with no route to treatment until after the birth."

Then in May 2023, in'couple's Disney+ documentary, Cherry talked about her cancer diagnosis and the impact it had on her and her husband.

She said: “Long story short, I got diagnosed with cancer at the start of the year, which was a massive s**tter, but it made me massively reflect on our mortality.”

On battling cancer, Cherry added: “I was saying to Eds, I’d never have agreed to do anything like this before — never, ever, ever — but it made me think this whole year, if I died, what’s people’s perception of me?

"What am I going to leave behind? It genuinely wasn’t until this year when I was just like, ‘I might die’.

“We had the diagnosis of the tumour and the next day Eds went down into the basement and wrote seven songs in four hours.

“Some people write a diary and get their emotions out through the pen and, for Eds, if something really intense happens, he’ll go and write a song.”

While Ed added: “Music’s always been like therapy to me.

"It was a way to get my thoughts and feelings down as a kid, and it works. It really works.”
