The publication reports the show is going to be “consigned to the dustbin for good”.

The Sun Online has contacted Channel 5 regarding the claims.

Ratings for the show have fallen steadily over the past few years but it’s still a hit with viewers.

Last night’s double eviction saw Maggie Oliver and Rachel Johnson leaving the house.

This series of the show is due to end on Friday February 2.

Host Emma Willis revealed earlier this week they are casting for the next civilian version of the show.

Insiders claimed to The Daily Star this would be the last instalment however.

This year's edition of the show started unlike any other, as the series kicked off with an all-female cast.

The only other time this has happened was in 2007 when Big Brother 8 launched with only female contestants heading into the house.

Show bosses confirmed that the special kick-off would mark 100 years since women won the right to vote in Britain.

The ladies of the house were later joined by an all-star male line up including John Barnes, Love Island's Johnny Mitchell, Wayne Sleep and Daniel O'Reilly.
