Justin Timberlake calls Las Vegas residency a ‘retirement plan’ as his ex Britney Spears signs a new mega deal

JUSTIN Timberlake has ripped into his popstar peers after deeming Las Vegas residencies as "a retirement plan."
His outburst comes after his ex Britney Spears reportedly signed a mega-bucks lucrative deal to return to the entertainment capital.
Justin was asked by Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio if he'd ever consider a Vegas residency.
The 36-year-old singer said: "I mean I wouldn't rule it out if it was something that was different. I definitley don't, you know, it feels like.."
Host Zane interjected: "Like a retirement option?" and Justin swiftly agreed.
The Super Bowl 2018 performer continued: "You're planning your retirement. You know what I mean? So for some reason that feels like scary to me."
Justin's former girlfriend Britney Spears held a record-breaking residency at the Planet Hollywood resort in Las Vegas.
The Piece of Me show ran for four years and came to a close on New Year's Eve but the Pop Princess has reportedly already signed up for a second run due to start in 2019.
According to , the star has become accustomed to staying on one area, allowing her more family time with her two sons Preston, 12, and Jayden, 11.
The source said: “They are really trying to compete with some of the more established venues in Las Vegas.
“They made the offer and she just couldn’t refuse. She loves Vegas!”
After putting on a show-stopping performance at the 2017 Super Bowl, Lady Gaga has confirmed that she will play 36 dates at the end of 2018 in Las Vegas.
This year Justin will be taking on the Super Bowl after recently launching a comeback bid with new track Filthy.
