Chris is an actor from Boyle, County Roscommon, who grew up as the youngest of five kids.

He played Gaelic football at county level up to the under 21 age group, and studied politics and sociology at University of Dublin.

But he didn't finish the degree, after deciding he had no interest in sociology.

He then upped sticks and moved to Britain, to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Despite being raised Catholic, Chris is a life-long Atheist.

Chris has starred in US TV show Get Shorty, in which he plays Miles Daly.

The actor got his big break in Channel 4 comedy The IT Crowd, alongside Richard Ayoade, which ran from 2006-2010.
