The National Television Awards 2018, 7.30pm, ITV
It’s our favourite night of the year as TV stars walk the red carpet and take to the O2 Arena stage to collect a prestigious conical trophy.
There are some humdingers of categories, including the new Crime Drama genre, which sees Line Of Duty go up against Broadchurch, while Love Island battles The Great British Bake Off for the Challenge Show gong.
And after a tumultuous year, Ant McPartlin will be hoping to ring in 2018 with good news – can he and Declan Donnelly make it 17 years in a row to take home the TV Presenter title?

Inside NO. 9, 10pm, BBC Two
Nicola Walker (left) adds an extra touch of class playing Harriet, a woman disappointed in her marriage to photographer Adrian (Steve Pemberton, right).
No matter how she tries to spice things up, including a naughty nurse routine, Adrian shows no enthusiasm.
It grows to a hilarious but disturbing climax.
Trollied, 10pm, SKY One
As the team gear up for the launch of Valco 24, Gavin is reluctant to hand over the reins of the first overnight shift to Lou. We don’t blame him.
Lou’s been reading self-help book Wolf In The Jungle and watching The Night Manager in preparation.

This final episode talks to those who’ve worked for the Saudi princes and who describe the pleasures they indulge in.
However, through social media, the Saudi population are becoming aware of their rulers’ ostentatious behaviour.
Impossible Railways, 8pm, Yesterday
You don’t have to be a trainspotter to appreciate this six-part series.
Many of us take rail travel for granted, but Impossible Railways casts a fresh eye over these feats of engineering.
With stunning footage taken from mountains to coastlines and cities, this series is a real antidote to commuter hell.
