Born in Cardiff on November 16, 1953, Griff is currently 64 years old.
His career started on BBC comedy sketch show Not the Nine O'Clock News and Alas Smith and Jones alongside Mel Smith.
He later transitioned into acting roles, before returning to his comedy roots, presenting It'll Be Alright on the Night.
Who is Griff Rhys Jones’ wife Jo?
Griff Rhys Jones’ wife Jo is a graphic designer who he met while working at the BBC. They have been married for over 30 years.
He said previously of their first meeting: "The day we met, I was semi-naked and she was throwing water over me."
The couple has two children and live between London and Suffolk.

Griff Rhys Jones met comedy partner Mel Smith in the early 1980s.
After working on Not the Nine O'Clock News, the pair decided to create and write material together.
From 1984 they starred in comedy sketch series Alas Smith and Jones, before appearing on the big screen in sci-fi comedy movie Morons from Outer Space.
They also set up Talkback Productions together in 1981, a company which produced some of the most popular British Comedy series of the past two decades.
Their last TV appearance together was a Head To Head routine for the special of 2012 The One Griff Rhys-Jones.
Mel Smith died in the summer of 2013, aged 60.
