Cara De La Hoyde shares filter-free snap from the delivery room showing her ‘looking relieved and exhausted’ after giving birth
LOVE Island's Cara De La Hoyde has shared a sweet photo of her cradling newborn son, Freddie-George, in her arms in the delivery room.
The reality TV star appears in the "1st family photo ever" alongside boyfriend Nathan Massey, having just given birth to their first child.
Cara captioned the Instagram image, taken last month: "So yep giving birth isn’t glamorous. I look relieved & exhausted 😩 but it’s worth every minute of pain 💙 our 1st family photo ever 👦🏼👶🏽👩🏽."
The brunette beauty looks incredible as she holds her son next to a smiling Nathan who sits at her bedside in hospital.
Freddie-George was born at 6.30am on December 13, and the couple were shortly afterwards spotted in public with their newborn.
At the time Cara told fans that her "heart could burst" with the amount of love she already has for her baby.
Fans were given a first glimpse of him in a cover shoot for OK Magazine.
Cara and Nathan revealed he was born 12 days after his due date after Cara was induced and warned she could spend four days in hospital.
She told : "I’d been sat in the bath for two hours.
"I did plan on having a water birth, but I was very much of the mind set that whatever happens, happens. I couldn’t have an epidural as I was too far gone."
Last week, Cara was praised by fans for her impressive post-baby body.
While endorsing a diet brand, Cara posed in black leisure trousers and a Calvin Klein workout bra as she perched on the kitchen worktop.
One fan commented on the picture: "Babe, how the hell have you got abs?"
Another put: "Wow, you literally look amazing! Good on you for wanting to be in good shape after a baby!"
A third told Cara: "You're looking amazing! 11 months in and I still look like a sack of potatoes."
Cara and Nathan first met on Love Island 2016 where they went on to win the show together.
They announced they were expecting their first child back in May 2017 after a tumultuous relationship since leaving the ITV show.
