I’m A Celebrity’s Kiosk Keith sacked after being accused of turning up to work drunk and behaving inappropriately towards female member of staff
I’M A Celebrity star Kiosk Keith has been sacked after he was accused of turning up drunk to work and behaving inappropriately towards a female colleague, The Sun Online can reveal.
The 52-year-old, whose real name is Raymond Grant, was apparently drunk when he made the alleged unwanted advance towards a young female member of the crew on the IAC bus into work in the jungle.
ITV bosses are now trying to find a replacement for fan favourite Keith, who’s been on the show since 2013.
A source told The Sun Online: “It wasn’t unusual for Keith to turn up to work drunk as he's done it before but this incident has shocked everyone.
“He was drunk when he got on the bus in the morning. Then he behaved inappropriately towards a female member of the team who’s half his age.
“It happened in front of loads of people, the girl was so upset.
“As soon as she made a complaint Keith was sacked. It’s good riddance really.
“We nicknamed him Hollywood because of his overnight fame.
“Everyone thought he was alright at first but people quickly started to go off him. Now he's gone for good.”
Keith became a fan favourite for his moody on screen persona and ITV bosses are now trying to find a replacement before next year's series.
He was due to appear on the German version of the show which starts on January 7.
A spokesperson for ITV confirmed Raymond had been sacked from the show and will not appear on screen again as Kiosk Keith.
In a statement they said: “Ray is no longer under contract on the show. There are no plans for him to return this year.”
The Australian labourer has worked on the show since 2002 when he helped to build the set for the ITV show.
Keith, a father-of-four, was handpicked by bosses for the role and was popular with the show’s stars including Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
In November The Sun Online spoke exclusively to Keith’s ex-wife Donna who revealed Keith believed he was under-paid for his gruelling job.
She said: “He’s not getting paid the kind of money he should be getting paid for Kiosk Keith - Kiosk Keith’s huge. It’s £14,000 a year.
“He has to stay back sometimes to do some of the games for Kiosk Keith - that’s time when he should be at home.”
He later joined the army where he spent four years serving his country before leaving to become a newspaper printer by night, and helping his family run the farm by day.
