GEMMA Collins has landed a new job for Netflix working on hit show Orange Is the New Black, The Sun’s Bizarre column can exclusively reveal.
The Towie star, 36, is flying to New York to the set of the prison series for what will be her first job in the US.
It’s thought Gemma is expected to work on the series’ social media campaigns after the multi-million dollar streaming service were impressed by the Towie star’s huge online following.
A pal said: “Gemma can’t wait to get started.
“She is bursting with excitement and feels really proud to have landed the job.
“Her ‘Queen of Memays’ tag has really paid off.”
Gemma, who was seen kissing on/off lover James Argent in Marbella, Spain this week, teased fans this afternoon by posting a picture of New York’s Times Square .
She added in a caption: “So excited to finally tell you all I have landed first AMERICAN JOB so so excited NY CITY here I come #dreambig.”
Her signing shows how high the former Celebrity Big Brother star’s profile has risen over the past 12 months having become an internet sensation due to her memes, or as she calls then, “memays.”
Gemma also went viral around the world last October when she fell through a trap door at Radio 1’s Teen Awards after presenting a gong to the cast of ITV2 show Love Island.
Gemma has been recently spotted kissing and hugging on-off fling James ‘Arg’ Argent in Marbella, where the pair spent New Year’s Eve together.
Arg confessed his true feelings for Gemma in the Christmas episode of Towie in front of the entire cast. In the emotional speech he said: “Gemma you’re so lovely to me and you’re always there whenever I need you.”
