Amir Khan’s wife Faryal Makhdoom reflects on her ‘rocky year’ after marriage crisis as she looks forward to birth of second baby
AMIR Khan's wife Faryal Makhdoom has spoken about her "rocky year" after their marriage crisis but says she's looking forward to the birth of their second baby.
The champion boxer and his other half split earlier this year among a very public war of words but reunited before Amir went on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
Taking to Twitter, Faryal spoke about a tough 2017 but said she's looking forward to the future.
She wrote: "2017 was a very rocky year for me... although I'm still thankful for getting through it and being blessed with the biggest blessing from God -- which is being pregnant for the second time ❤ Can't wait for a beautiful year ahead 🙏🏼".
Late last year, Amir and Faryal looked set to divorce as their bitter rows played out on Twitter.
Amir accused her of cheating on him with fellow boxer Anthony Joshua and Faryal hit back saying he had cheated on her.
But three weeks of isolation in the Australian bush gave Amir time to think about her and their daughter Lamaisah.
Amir added: “We didn’t go through with the divorce as it’s void (banned in his Muslim religion) when a girl is pregnant. So it was a lesson, and I think our marriage will last forever now.”
Amir recently told The Sun how his time on I'm A Celebrity convinced him his marriage would now "last forever."
The Bolton born star told how the experience had changed him and vowed to stay faithful to pregnant wife Faryal, 26, for good.

Speaking to The Sun On Sunday, Amir said: “I definitely have more appreciation for my little girl and my wife Faryal, because I wasn’t around them.
“I was so far away. I missed them like crazy.
“I don’t think we’ll break up again now, we both know how much we need each other. It was a bit of a wake-up call for us both and it will only make us stronger.”
